The Paris Dungeons?

I Cannot Believe this. XplorerCentral has found some very new interesting news. If you are aware of the area around Disneyland Paris, there is a shopping centre within Val d Europe. This shopping centre has a Sea Life Centre run by Merlin Entertainments and now it has come to our attention that Merlin are looking to expand the Dungeons brand with “The Paris Dungeons” or “Le Dungeon de Paris” as it would be called.
One of our friends was planning a trip to Amsterdam and wanted to go to the Amsterdam Dungeons, they noticed that a Paris page has appeared on the website, maybe by accident? So, we did some digging and there was a Paris page accidentally leaked. Now we wonder with the Dungeons at Alton Towers closing, could some of the props be moved to help open this new dungeon? If next to an already existing Merlin attraction multi ticket deals could be made available and you get the visitors from the Disneyland Paris estate all year long!
The shows are as followed:
SHOW 1 THE DECENT:
JOIN OUR RESIDENT LIFT JESTER AS YOU BEGIN YOUR DESCENT INTO THE DUNGEON VIA OUR MEDIEVAL ELEVATOR. THIS MERRY RASCAL WILL PREPARE YOU FOR 1,000 YEARS OF HYSTERICALLY GRUESOME HISTORY. IT ALL STARTS HERE.
SHOW 2 THE TORTURE CHAMBER:
ABANDON ALL HOPE AS YOU FIND YOURSELF IN THE TORTURE CHAMBER OF MUROL CASTLE. THE TORTURER IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS. ANYONE NEED A GOOD STRETCH? THE TORTURER IS A CRAFTSMAN… AT LEAST HE USES TOOLS. THEY HAVE A VERY PRACTICAL MIND AND LOVE TO TEACH – USUALLY BY DEMONSTRATION. PREPARE TO BE DELIGHTED AND REPULSED IN EQUAL MEASURE. REMEMBER THAT THE TORTURER LOVES TO HUMILIATE HIS TARGET.
SHOW 3 THE PLAGUE DOCTOR:
THE YEAR IS 1348 AND THE PLAGUE IS RAGING. ROTTING BODIES AND BLACK RATS ARE EVERYWHERE THE PLAGUE DOCTORS ARE DEAD. BUT DON’T WORRY, THE ASSISTANT IS IN CHARGE AND ON THE LOOKOUT FOR INFECTED PEOPLE. WHAT COULD GO WRONG?
SHOW 4 THE VINEYARD:
THE YEAR IS 1889 LAST OCTOBER LONDON WAS PLAGUED BY AN UNKNOWN KILLER, NOW IN FRANCE KIDNAPPING IS RIFE WITHIN THE VINEYARD AND ITS BELIEVED THOSE WHO HAVE GONE MISSING WERE BRUTALLY MURDERED BY THE OWNERS IN THE SAME WAY AS THE INFAMOUS KILLER JACK. COULD THIS BE HIS WORK? OR A COPYCAT. JUST DON’T HAVE A DRINK AT THE VINEYARD.
SHOW 5 CURSE OF THE WITCH:
THE INFAMOUS PIERRE DE L’ANCRE, LORD OF DE LANCRE IS LOOKING FOR OTHER WITCHES TO BURN. BUT A WITCH PROVES THAT SHE IS VERY POWERFUL. WILL YOU COME FACE TO FACE WITH MARTHA WHITE GOLD AND LIVE TO TELL THE TALE?
SHOW 6 THE PARIS CATACOMBS:
QUICKLY! A STORM IS APPROACHING, THERE IS NO TIME TO HANG AROUND AND THE DARK STREETS ARE NO LONGER SAFE. THE ONLY WAY TO SAFETY IS THROUGH THE CATACOMBS, A CONFUSING MAZE OF SKELLINGTON-FILLED PASSAGES.
SHOW 7 MONA LIZAS REVENGE 5D RIDE EXPERIENCE:
ITALIAN ARTIST LEONARDO DA VINCA’S MOST FAMOUS PAINTING, THE MONA LISA, IS ON DISPLAY, BUT SOMETHING WRONG IS WHISPERING VOICES AND SOME ARE SURE ITS EYES CAN MOVE! WILL YOU FIND THE TRUTH BEHIND HIS SMILE? THIS IS A 5D ADVENTURE, GUESTS MUST BE 1.1 METERS TO RIDE. OTHER RESTRICTIONS APPLY. (GUESTS MUST BE 1.1 METERS TO RIDE & OTHER RESTRICTIONS APPLY)
SHOW 8 THE REVOLUTION:
IT’S 1789 AND TALKS OF REVOLUTION AGAINST THE KING, KING LOUIS XVI ARE IN THE AIR. QUICKLY GRAB WHAT YOU CAN TO FORM BARRICADES NOW. ARE YOU FOR OR AGAINST THE CAUSE?
SHOW 9 ORDER IN THE COURT ROOM:
SINNERS! YOU MUST STAND TRIAL FOR YOUR HEINOUS CRIMES AND SEE WHAT THE JUDGE MENTAL GIVES YOU. SO, ARE YOU GUILTY? OR ARE YOU GUILTY.
SHOW 10 DROP DEAD DROP RIDE:
NOTHING LIKE A GOOD OLD HANGING…OR A DROP RIDE. (GUESTS MUST BE 1.2 METERS TALL TO HANG, WE MEAN RIDE. OTHER RESTRICTIONS APPLY,)
So going off the shows and concept arts there are a few key things to highlight:
Looks similar to other dungeons with its own twist having iconic scenes such as the descent, the torturer, the court room and the plague doctor. Also the Drop Dead drop ride to finish the attraction.
The vineyard looks to be an adaptation of “Jack the Ripper”
Witches scene Returns – The London Dungeons have recently reintroduced a witches scene.
The Paris catacombs could be the mirror maze in this dungeon?
Mona Lisa 5-D, could this be a return of Vengeance, a ride that closed with the Tooley street dungeon in 2012? Do Merlin still have this in storage? The concept arts suggests if its not the same ride, its going to very very similar!
Le Revolution could be like Guy Fawks from the London Dungeon in design? Or even similar to the Viking invasions from the Blackpool Dungeons?
There is so much to digest from what we have found. Ill leave some more photos below for you guys to digest and come up with your own ideas. If this does get built, then I would definitely visit every time I went to Disneyland Paris as it sounds like quite a unique take on the dungeons brand.
